Last August 1 I was invited to present a 6 piece Filipino inspired costume along with more established Fil-Am designers namely Lou Razon, Kenneth Barlis and Mul Tayoba. it was such an honor being invited to present my interpretation of some iconic philippine costumes and be with the talented designers.
I know for some its no big deal, but being new in the industry this is an opportunity for me share my talent as a designer and be able to create a name in the filipino community. Since this is my second fashion show(i will write about the first fashion show later), in 2 months, i have little time to prepare but in the end i know i presented something that is not ordinary, something that people will remember. .something that people will smile while seeing my creations. There is always joy in my creations which exudes my very positive outlook in life.
I present to you my 6 piece Philippine costumes inspired from philippine flora and fauna
Filipinotown festival was held at the historic filipinotown in Los Angeles, California attended by hundreds of Fil-americans. and it held annually which showcase filipino food, products and somen pinoy entertainment.
The fashion show was the highlight of the said festival with people appreciating each piece of clothing on the center stage modeled by the Miss Philippines USA and Miss Young Philippines USA winners and candidates.
Special thanks to Ms. Lou Razon for inviting me to participate in the fashion show, Kuya Vic Perez for directing the show and the Filipinotown Festival committee
